Newgrounds social network analysis (Spring 2006)

  • Worked with Professor John Paolillo and graduate student Jonathan Warren. Newgrounds.com is a major web portal for amateur Flash. We randomly sampled 1000 Flash movies and correlated our genre classifications of the Flash animations with the network positions identified in an analysis of the snowball sample.

  • We presented our research at the Sunbelt Social Network Conference in April 2006, and the Hawaiian International Conference on Systems Sciences in January 2007.

 

Office of Performance Evaluations, Idaho Legislature
Research intern (Dec 2003-Dec 2004)

  • Assisted with audits of state agencies and programs. Conducted online research and Excel data entry. Audited survey coding, entered in SPSS and performed quality control. Wrote workpapers to document research and support findings. Proofread performance evaluation reports. Attended meetings of the Joint Legislative Oversight Committee. (Supervised by Rakesh Mohan)
